Allow me to introduce myself…
I approach wardrobe styling as an act of translation—transforming my clients’ fundamental attitudes toward color, shape, and wearability into a unique personal style. To me, fashion is noise: the seasons, the runways, the trends, the rules imposed from outside. Style, in contrast, comes from within. It shapes how we navigate our individual worlds, influences how others perceive us, and reflects what we value most about ourselves. While fashion is performative, style is deliberate and intentional.
When working with both male and female clients, I pay close attention to how fashion can hinder the development of a true personal style. Women often feel overwhelmed by an abundance of choices, high expectations, and the costly pressure to keep up with ever-changing trends. Men, in contrast, are frequently restricted by tradition and caution, hesitant to experiment for fear of standing out. My approach strikes a balance between these extremes. For women, I focus on clarity, confidence, and thoughtful editing. For men, I emphasize giving permission and precision—guiding them on when and how to step outside the proverbial box.
Ultimately style is an art form of self-expression. Our clothes should be at least opaque windows to our souls – never costumes to hide behind.
